BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., April 2, 2012 – Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based The Roeper School (Roeper), a co-educational day school for gifted children, will hold its annual fundraiser for financial aid on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. Kat Phillips and Rich Pirrotta of Rochester, Mich. will serve as auction chairs for MOSAIC, The Auction For Roeper.  Roeper Interim Head of School Phillip Deely made the announcement.

The 2012 “Fruit of the Vine” themed event will benefit Roeper’s Mariann Hoag Financial Aid Program, enabling resource-challenged, but otherwise qualified students, to experience the benefits of a Roeper education.  The MOSAIC event will be held at a private club in Detroit and will feature a silent auction, dinner, live auction and afterglow event.

This year, MOSAIC’s silent auction will be paperless for the first time using ClickBid, technology that enables all bidding to be done online with a smartphone, tablet, iPod Touch, PC or Mac.  Attendees will have the opportunity to use an iPod Touch onsite, if needed. Those unable to attend the event now have the opportunity to participate and bid online at http://roeper.clickbid.mobi.

Roeper students also play indispensable roles in the MOSAIC auction.  Many Lower and Middle School students have created collaborative projects in their classrooms to be sold in the auction, while Upper School students will volunteer at the event to assist guests with electronic bidding.  A jazz trio, consisting of Roeper Upper School students, will also provide live entertainment throughout the evening.

Some of the items that will be available for bid at the auction include a number of high-end and unique packages, such as a Neiman Marcus/Bella Piatti party for six guests, five nights at the Hilton Cabo San Lucas, a week in a Costa Rican Villa, a Chef’s Table for 10 at Tallulah and an “instant wine cellar” complete with 36 bottles of premium wine. There will also be a special appeal for contributions to Roeper’s Faculty Professional Development fund.

Event tickets are $120 each and afterglow tickets are $40. Tickets are available now through Tuesday, April 10 and must be purchased in advance (per club policy). For more information on this event, to purchase tickets or make a contribution, please visit www.roeper.org/mosaic or call Tom Huneke at 248.203.7359.
